Balaji Soundararajan
PhD candidate, Textile Technology Management
Balaji Soundararajan is a PhD candidate in the Textile Technology Management program of Wilson College Textiles at NC State University. His research areas include supply chain risk prediction methods, data applications and standardization of data techniques and processes. Before pursuing a doctoral degree, Balaji worked in multiple supply chain and consulting roles with a focus on machine learning, supply chain data and data quality.
Mr. Balaji’s experience spans apparel, retail and technology sectors with active sourcing roles in procurement of fibers, engineered fabrics, and indirect services. He has also led consulting engagements with Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, AT&T, Lenovo and Family Dollar. Balaji obtained his MBA in supply chain management from NC State University and undergraduate degree in electronics and communication engineering from Anna University.
