Rob Handfield Doubts Price Fixing is Contributing to Higher Meat Prices

While many believe price fixing is to blame for rising meat prices, Rob Handfield, professor of operations and supply chain management, finds the issue lies in the down cycle of the supply chain.

“It is basically the fact that demand is greater than supply,” said Handfield. “We’re in a down cycle right now. We just happen to be in a down cycle.”
