Re-thinking Healthcare Transportation
I recently had an article posted in the Journal of Healthcare Transportation. The article goes into one area of healthcare that is often overlooked…..transportation. When you think about it , elements such as lab specimens, patient records, files, X-rays, and other documents are critical to physician decision-making. When these items are lost, time is wasted, which in some cases can end up impacting patient health or even their lives. Yet most procurement people view transportation as a “non-critical” component of healthcare spend.
