NC State Takes 2013 APICS Student Poster Competition!

Congrats to George Vincent, who took 1st place in the 2013 Student Poster Competition at the APICS Conference in Orlando.  George is a second year INdustrial Engineering student who has taken several supply chain MBA classes and worked on several SCRC projects, including one this semester.

George discussed his project, which foucsed on how to illustrate the importance of using the right KPIs to measure Supply Chain Performance.  The focus was on the agro-chemical community, and the benefits of using good Key Performance INdicators to enhance traceability of products.  He established a scorecard that agrochemical companies could use to measure suppliers.

I asked George what were some of the benefits of attending the APICS conference this year.  He gave me four:

1) I got to listen to some of the best supply chain professionals in the                  industry

2) It Was the best networking experience from a professional                                                                                                        perspective

3) I got to meet and interact with some of the best and brightest  students in supply chain from across the country

4) I won the first place in the poster contest that was judged by some  very experienced supply chain professionals.

Way to go George!
