Rob Handfield Explores Resilient Supply Chains for Post-COVID World

Rob Handfield, executive director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative and professor of operations and supply chain management, took part in a series taking a look at resilient supply chains equipped for a post-COVID world and how companies can continue to increase their measures. Handfield claims that the keys to supply chain resiliency include stability, trust, transparency and agility as companies look to rewrite their supply chain playbooks.

“Transparency provides the necessary visibility, both locally and globally, to understand and anticipate the operating environment,” said Handfield. “This works both ways – from the customer to suppliers in anticipation of demand and from the suppliers to customer to inform and forewarn of delivery issues.”
