Scattered distribution manufacturing – a shift towards more nearshoring or reshoring of manufacturing to North America
Professor Rob Handfield speaks candidly with Austin Denean from The National Desk on what major electronics producers must do to source their products and parts as another shortage is on the horizon.
“I think what we’re going to see is a shift towards more nearshoring or reshoring of manufacturing to North America,” Handfield said. “And by that, I mean I think we’ll see more companies starting to look at Mexico as a source of sort of labor arbitrage.”
