SCRC and the Shelton Leadership Center’s Annual Professional Leadership Development Forum
The Shelton Leadership Forum provides professionals the opportunity to learn from experts in their corresponding fields on ways to apply personal experiences back into their own communities and work environments. The forum presents keynote speakers whose experiences address a broad spectrum of professional careers.
Internationally acclaimed role model leaders engage with corporate and educational leaders and students. The Forum is committed to providing excellence in inspirational values-based leadership development. This is a great experience for leaders who aspire to shape the organizational culture through leadership that leaves a legacy.
Programs are client-centered and solutions-focused through collaboration with the Poole College of Management. Innovation, creativity, and productivity have everything to do with leadership. Programs are built on a foundation of personal integrity and business ethics, promoting sustainable change.
The General Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum is an annual seminar series that focuses attention on the importance of leadership development. The Forum is one program offering of the General Hugh Shelton Leadership Initiative administered by the NC State University Office of Extension, Engagement, and Economic Development. As Executive Director, General Shelton is committed to developing values-based leadership skills to enhance corporate, government, education, non-profit, and youth development organizations. The General Hugh Shelton Leadership Initiative offers scholarships, as well as executive, faculty, student, and youth development conferences.

Our leadership programs are intended to address leaders who are currently responsible for executing strategies and managing shifting priorities presented by organizational leaders. This role requires capabilities of both effective performance management of team projects, as well as leadership skills to drive change and quickly adapt teams to new demands. Graduates of this program will have a strong sense of how to lead projects, teams, peers, and themselves.
